Bumbai, We Learn Issue 01 pages 3 and 4
Bumbai, We Learn is a risograph zine series dedicated to exploring Hawai‘i’s rich local art, culture, and history through an intimate, archival contemporary lens. Rooted in the spirit of storytelling, the series aims to foster a radical understanding of local culture, an approach often overlooked in mainstream historical accounts of modern Hawai‘i. The first issue lays the foundation by exploring histories of resistance during Hawai‘i's Plantation Era, highlighting the collective struggles and solidarities against US authoritarian conditions.
